This is the root of grace: the dismantling of our power. Whenever even a little power rises up in us, the Spirit and the authority of God will retreat to the corresponding degree. In my estimation this is the single most important insight with regard to the kingdom of God. Eberhard Arnold

Christians should serve, not rule. Christoph Blumhardt

I am not sure of what this person is trying to say. There are many theories out there that say a Christian should be dormant and he or she will then let God's power flow threw them. I don't tend to agree with those theories. The people whom I have seen displaying God's power in signs and miracles are the people who have overcome their shyness and have risen up in faith and spoken God's Word in great Boldly of spirit as they ought to: Just like Peter did on the Day of Pentecost. The Lord promised that if we would open our mouths wide, He would fill it.Psalm 81:10 ....Just my two cents worth, Boo

Thanks for stopping by Agitprop Kitty. I appreciate your views. That quote about Christians serving as opposed to ruling is great. I think a lot of these so-called Christian "leaders" in the churches and in government should take heed to that good advice.

Amen... we would all do well to keep these things in mind. It's not "us" that accomplishes God's purpose... it's "God in us"! Let His light shine, for in Him all things are possible!
