Giving Away Gaza - What's the REAL Deal?

Israeli ambassador to the U.S. Danny Ayalon, in an interview with a U.S. Jewish magazine, dispelled any notion the current forced removal of Jews from Gaza is part of an agreement with the Palestinian Authority tied to ending terrorism, saying the pullout is solely a U.S.-Israeli policy matter.

Envoy: Expulsion Part Of U.S.-Israeli Policy

This week, nine Israeli 'hesder' soldiers refused their Gaza-related orders, including two who left their posts and went missing somewhere in Gush Katif, the main Jewish settlement bloc in Gaza. Almost daily, there are reports of defiant soldiers.

In my opinion, if we forsake our traditional, historical and spiritual union with Israel, we are in for more trouble than just that with a capital "T."

Joe: You could not be MORE CORRECT in my opinion. Woe be to us as a nation if we turn against Israel...it gives me goose bumps.

I'll add my agreement to the two posts already here. The United States needs to stop trying to control Israel, and instead go about the business of supporting them. The more our politics influence the situation in the Middle East, the more screwed up it will get.

With regard to the Israeli soldiers - like the rest of us, they need to follow where God leads them, not where men do. Pray for them, and for us, too!

Peace, love and God's chosen ones...

I am really surprised that the Israeli government is going along with this as well...what are they thinking?
