Why God Why? - Coming Together in Tragedy

Nonbelievers always ask me, “Why do you believe in a God that lets disastrous things happen to innocent people?” This question used to stump me completely. I still don’t have all the answers. All I really know for sure is that if God leads me to it then He will lead me through it.

Pro-Family Christians Seeking Position on Supreme Court

Christian groups are calling on President Bush to nominate a solid conservative to replace Sandra Day O'Connor in the U.S. Supreme Court -- a vacancy they called the most "critical in the history of the pro-family movement." Last Friday, O'Connor, 75, the first woman appointed to the high court and a key swing vote on issues such as abortion and the death penalty, announced her retirement -- the first court vacancy in 11 years, the Associated Press (AP) reported.

High Court Vacancy 'Most Critical in Pro-Family Movement's History'

Is Satan Running the Supreme Court?

Although a trusting American public customarily looks for wisdom from the Courts, Justice has apparently lost its wits and found it in the best interest of the American public to turn its black robed back on the common man and his constitutional right to own his own home...

The Trashing of the American Dream

"We Need A 10-Year Moratorium On Immigration!"

Right now, most communities in America suffer illegal migration from an average of 10,000 illegally crossing our borders every night and three million annually. Bush says they are coming here for a better life. He refuses to admit these illegal aliens make our lives worse. Bush says they work the jobs that Americans won’t do. Yes, Mr. Bush, you should know since you can’t imagine working for less than a living wage. Have you ever heard of ‘slave labor’? How about creating a new kind of slave class in America? Didn’t that kind of activity go out in 1865? So what are we doing to ourselves?

How To Live A Hope-Filled Life

You can live a life filled with hope, but only as you make Jesus…our risen Lord…the focus of your contemplation. When you do, you will find that any other focus is indeed a mistaken contemplation!

Finding Genuine Hope

Creed: Why Jesus Came

Whether we are writers, speakers, musicians, or the sweeper at the local A & P, we are to remain humble and servant-like. We are to remember what Christ did for us—leaving behind His home in Heaven and His being with the Father—to come to be with us with an express purpose: to save us from our own sins and for ultimate destruction.

I'm Gay - You'll Marry Me, Or Else!

Welcome to the shape of things to come.
In Canada, the issue of same-sex marriage has been decided - in favor of the homosexuals. You'd think these sexually perverted individuals would be satisfied (and outright celebrating) their legislative coup. But, no. That's not enough.
The homosexuals are now calling on the Canadian government to revoke the tax exempt status of churches who vocally opposed them. The shame is, they might win - again.

Canadian Homosexuals to Demand Government Retaliation Against Conservative Churches

Folks, we need to pray for Canada. They are going the way of Sodom even quicker than we are.

Pastor and Others Beat Young Woman...

This is so bizarre, I don't even know where to start.

A 19-year old is alleged to have been disrespectful to her parents by spending too much time on the internet, hanging out too much with her friends, and not going to church. OK... I can see that happening very easily. But, she is 19, which is an adult under the law, and can pretty much do whatever she wants and can afford.
Enter the local church she used to attend. When confronted with this situation (which, in my opinion should've been met with prayer and calm discussion), the pastor and two other church leaders grab the girl, take her to a local park, and beat her senseless for two hours.
Is this where you'd want to go to church?
Me either...

Teenage Girl Attacked By Church Trio

Will Christian Conservative Cave On Abortion?

President Bush has a tough choice in front of him - either face a monumental battle in the Senate to get a REAL Supreme Court nominee confirmed, or nominate a centrist (to pacify the congress) and risk alienating the very base of constituents that voted him twice into office. Quite the conundrum...

Which way will he go? Your guess is as good as mine - but I think we'll find out relatively soon...

Divisive Issue Is Decisive For Some

Did The Catholics Ever Believe In Evolution?

An influential cardinal in the Roman Catholic Church, which has long been regarded as an ally of the theory of evolution, is now suggesting that belief in evolution as accepted by science today may be incompatible with Catholic faith.
Wow... what a revolutionary concept. I'd have thought the Catholic church would've always rejected the theory of evolution - but maybe not.
