Faith Above Religion, Not Religion Above Faith

The conflict between faith and religion has permeated all humanity since someone first asked, "How did I get here?" And then the person next to them said, "Someone made us!"

Faith vs. Relgion

Faith is mystic and respectful of all humanity. Religion is legalistic and respectful of only those who agree with its particular view. History has taught us that the bullies of religion brutalize the people of faith.

Bound 4:Life - Praying For LIFE

Young intercessors are staging silent protests on behalf of the unborn in the nation's capital. Teens and young adults are praying for an end to abortion in what prayer leader Lou Engle says is a continuation of the movement that began in 2000 when The Call D.C. drew 400,000 youth to Washington, D.C., for a day of prayer and fasting.

Youth Prayer Effort Seeks to 'Reverse the Decree of Roe vs. Wade'

"Jesus, I plead your blood over my sins and the sins of my nation. God, end abortion and send revival to America."

Who Killed Church Discipline?

The Protestant reformers named three "marks by which the true church is known": the preaching of the pure doctrine of the gospel, the pure administration of the sacraments, and the exercise of church discipline to correct faults. Today, church discipline is feared as the mark of a false church, bringing to mind images of witch trials, scarlet letters, public humiliations, and damning excommunications.

How Discipline Died

Does discipline itself need correction and redemption in order to be readmitted into the body of Christ?

Choosing To Be Wrong

We must never behave as though the public self, the self who engages in conversation with fellow citizens, is separate from a hidden, private self who believes the Bible and tries to follow the Lord. We should witness joyfully, energetically, and lovingly for the truth of God's Word.

First Things First

Church partisan litmus tests are wrong, but preaching political values is not.

Don't Hate Me Because I'm Free...

In a nutshell, a law by definition is the removal of a freedom because it states that there's something you must or must not do. Thus, the more laws we have the less free we are. The United States now has over 250,000 laws...

Our Freedom Siren Song

Do you really think the terrorists hate us because we're 'free'?

People, People, People!

People, all people, now people, past people, future people, want freedom until they cannot handle it, then they want government.

The Problem Is People

Clever crooks seize power by small steps so as not to waken the populace before the time is right to put their plans into effect. Americans, or some Americans, are witnessing that now.

Do You Know What You're Saying?

Many churches recite creeds during their worship services, others don’t. What are the creeds, and are they really important?

The Importance of Creeds

Creeds are valuable because they summarize biblical truth, but unlike the Bible, they are not inspired.

Fearing 'The Chronicles of Narnia'?

Has contemporary Western culture swung 180 degrees --- from assuming that Christian values and Christ's teaching are a foundation for spiritual health, to being suspicious of anything Christian?

Christianity: It's Not a Popularity Thing

It is our responsibility to be faithful, and perhaps the best way to be faithful is to continue Jesus' ministry of compassion to the neediest in our communities.

What Do You Mean 'Higher Prices At WalMart'?

In a move that could eventually affect everything from the price of T-shirts in Wal-Mart to the mortgage rates Americans pay, China is moving in the direction of a more flexible currency.

China Makes Major Shift On Currency

Although the immediate effect of the revaluation will be small, the longer term impact could be more far reaching.

80 Million Strong and Still Growing!

China's rulers are said to be ambiguous about Christianity's growth. Some see its emphasis on personal morality as a force for stability. House churches which go along with the authority and theology of the official organisations are often left alone.
But many reject the party's control over Christian practice and doctrine, and these are seen as a threat. After all, 80 million members would mean there are now more Christians than Communists in China.

Christianity Is China's New Cultural Revolution

Our awesome God truly does move!
